Dr. Justin Donaldson

Dr Donaldson is an experienced GP and has been working in North East Victoria since 2016, in Wangaratta, Wodonga and Yackandandah, developing a strong network and comprehensive knowledge of the allied health, medical specialist providers and hospital and community care services.
Born in Scotland, he completed his primary medical degree from the University of Aberdeen, UK in 2005 and continued his post graduate medical training as a junior doctor in the main teaching hospital in Glasgow, working in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Obtaining collegiate membership of both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCS 2011) and Royal College of General Practitioners in London (MRCGP 2012).
Moving to Melbourne in 2013 for a working holiday for a year, he obtained fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), working in a busy and diverse GP medical practice in the city’s western suburb, Point Cook.
Shortly after moving to Melbourne, he then met his would be wife on the Heavenly Valley chair lift in Mt Hotham. The couple moved to the Alpine Shire area in 2016 for a tree change and to start the next chapter of their lives together, a family and enjoy the benefits of a country lifestyle and community. Dr Donaldson was granted Australian citizenship in 2019 and is proud to call Myrtleford his home and provide care to the community he lives in.
